Lumos Pins started in 2020 after Amie, a teacher, couldn’t find anything to add to her lanyard which reflected her love of everything magical. With an Apple Pencil and a lot of ideas she went about launching preorders to fund her designs to make them a reality. To her surprise, the designs got funded and the business has grown from strength to strength ever since. Lumos Pins was born! Soon after her partner Alex was roped into the business and there has been no stopping them. With over 200 designs Lumos Pins has continued to create products inspired by “The Boy Who Lived” and shipped them to followers in the UK, USA and around the world, gaining a loyal following and a host of 5 star reviews on Etsy.
As you may be able to guess from the name, enamel pins are their specialty. Lumos Pins are motivated to create high quality enamel pins that are a must have for every witch and wizard. Following a range of successful kickstarters, Lumos Pins’ collections include pins focusing on mental health, magical objects, pick & mix, magical textbooks, magical travel, dragon eggs and various mash ups with other fandoms. Lumos Pins are not only focused on good quality but also exciting effects such as glitter, stained glass and glow in the dark enamel. The aim of Lumos Pins is to make customers feel something – to laugh, to smile and to feel home.
Lumos Pins have not limited their products to just enamel pins. They’ve created keyrings, stationery, embroidered patches and stained glass to name a few. Lumos Pins fans love their annual Christmas releases including themed pins that add even more magic to the holidays and the sell out Christmas ornaments. The enamel ornaments are a great addition to any Christmas tree and Lumos Pins are so thankful to see their designs in so many homes around the world. They also have a line of gold and silver plated jewellery which has been popular with customers who wish to show their magical status everyday within their outfits. Lumos Pins’ products aim to add a little magic to your collection whether you want to scream you’re a witch/wizard or just let your fellow magical folk know you’re a fan.
Lumos Pins are so excited to be joining many other makers at Basingstoke Comic-Con. They’ll have magical pins, accessories and a mystery Gumball machine to bring some Lumos to the weekend. Drop by, as there is something for everyone, even non-HP fans!
